About Shaun Ward

Technical business and operations leader

I have 8 years of experience leading companies in product development of SaaS, E-commerce, content management system, and online multimedia delivery.

I have a passion for data driven business advancement using metric tracking in product feature development. I enjoys enriching company and team growth through the exciting times of newly established DevOps culture.

In 2006 I founded Crystal Koi Design which lead to the founding of Alethia Inc. (KK), a software company specializing in delivering international structured content to businesses and communities.

In 2006 I also founded Skin Evolution. A company that created, manufactured and sold original full body protection film for electronic devices. In doing this I created the first UTF-8 Japanese Zen-Cart language pack and a full UTF-8 conversion guide for Zen-Cart. Skin Evolution sold 1000's of its films to the Japanese market. I shut it down in 2012 to pursue a full-time startup venture with Kenzai.

I joined Kenzai in the spring of 2013, where I lead development as the CTO, establishing the in house development team, flow of development and progressing towards continuous integration development practices. In 2014 and part of 2015 I transitioned over to focusing on user growth and acquisitions in the abcence of in house marketing. Currently I am the Product manager where I take the product through phases of delivery. My current role involves creating initial product concepts, building technical specs, and coordinating development and delivery through our application teams of iOS, Android and Rails developers. Responsible for taking the product feature builds through the stages of concept, development, QA, and user roll-out I really enjoy helping lead the design and implementation of a cutting edge health and wellness program.
