About Me, Shaun Ward

First off, I am not a writer so all grammer and spelling errors you find in my posts, sorry in advance. 

I got my start in this crazy place we call the internet by developing multilingual e-commerce sites in Japan and I currently head up operations at Alethia.

I have an economics degree from Kansas University, and really got into developed dealing with Zen-Cart and adapting it for Japanese and other languages. UTF-8 conversion and such.

I don't deal as much with Zen-Cart these days. (My first open source love!) Drupal, MediaFront, Ubercart and soon DrupalCommerce are where I am most of the time.

Drupal I think we all know, one of the fastest growing open source CMS's.

MediaFront brought to the world by Alethia, is setting out to revolutionize the way media is approached in the web development world. Video both HTML5, flash and more.

Ubercart and DrupalCommerce are e-commerce platforms that work inside of Druapl. Once you go to them, you will not go back.     

As you can tell, I am really into open source. It changes peoples lives, and it has changed mine. Everything we try to do at Alethia is through open source means. It is our goal to build a company that can grow and give back at the same time to the open source world.

Out side of Open Source, I am into MTB and BMX.  You can find me riding around the streets of Japan, sometimes 2 or 3am, as my hours are crazy as half the Alethia team is in America, I work some strange hours.  On the weekends, I like to head out to Fukaya, Japan and hit the dirt jumps.
